| | No 3GB Patch before OB for EU This said GOA: since it's "just" about voiceovers, they'll delay till next week.
This means that the downloaded client will be the only thing we'll need for Open Beta access... and maybe that they are late with the Authentication system deployment... Actually the patch is an optional download (mostly additional voice packs) and we have decided to hold off with it till next week. We'll publish news when it's going live with instructions for downloading and installing it.
So no 3GB monster patch before the OB starts.

| | even tho i MIGHT be able to see the logic in this withholding of the patch, it still makes me think that GOA are utterly incapable of completing anything ON schedule and with full features available
as much as Magnus was quick and precise in his answers, The rest of GOA just seem like a slow, lazy machine
anyways, it will detract alot seeing as i can imagine alot of people actually enjoying the voices and sounds

| | I didn't had experience with GOA since for the short time I was playing DOAC I was on Mythic servers.
I'm usually not vocal and not easily upsettable about games: after all there's a lot more around me more important than mmorpgs.
One thing that bothers me a bit about this is that GOA and Mythic said (maybe to reassure the community after all the problems with DAOC) that all the patches would be rolled out at the same time in US and in EU.
I agree that maybe this is about optional stuff, however they are disattending that statement by the first patch they have to publish.
Well, it's just Open Beta, and it really makes no sense complaining now... after all it's free.
I just hope that in the future, when thing will be more "relaxed" and less franctic than before launch, everything will go on according to that statement. |

| | Too bad that they couldn't get this update in before the masses are allowed their first Warhammer Online experiences, even if they are packs of 'just voices', they do bring something to the table in terms of immersion and so forth.
I know a lot of people have said this, but it's easy to draw parallells between the AoC launch and Warhammer Online - I'm still, believe me, giving Mythic and GOA benefit of the doubt in this case. This time around, it'll be an Open Beta, not quite release, but I'm hoping to get a good feel for the game regardless of that. The thing that worries me the most at this point is that rumours has it that they might not get the Key Authentication centres to work properly on the 7th, and that might be a blow to all of us who'd really like to try the game as quickly as possible.
It remains to be seen I'm glad they finally decided to release some information regarding the 3gb patch talk though. I've got my client installed.

| | just clarifying, i have complete faith and trust in mythic and them supplying the utmost in gaming experience and service.
its just sort of sad seeing that the EU part dont seem to be able to keep up with that
then again yes, no plan in complaint yet, so far it free play, when we start paying that when they have to be running it smoothly

| | Oh well, the voiceovers are fine IMO so those EU players won't have any problem or have thier gameplay impared much at all. Why is everyone always in such a rush and so quick to get annoyed at GOA, take my style and take things as they come It'll be alright on the night..

truthfully, cause to me, GOA has yet to prove they are up to teh task. Does'nt hurt to be in good time with your projects, GOA seem to be on an endless 'last-minute' run....would'nt hurt em to provide more feedback either, so ok theres a delay..post it...come on...its better than the 'WoW' - Silence treatment...sucks really!
thats why i so far dont really trust GOA ...that and from reading, aparently they were'nt to great with DAoC either ...does'nt really spark much trust
but as said, im fine as logn as they manage to run the game smoothly on and after release!!!
