| | LF Sordmaster lead! Hello all.
It appears that Azim, the Euro swordmaster lead has retired from the guild. Quote:
Dear Friends,
Lately I am abroad for kendo and I wasnt active in the guild beta due to some personal problems.. and I cannot see when this will end.. so I am not fit to be an officer right now. I hope we get a great swordmaster lead for the EU section and if I can come back I will follow you guys. I'm sorry.
-Acala/Azim
| Needless to say we (the Old World chapter) are in need of a of someone to lift the burden from Azim.
What does it entail to be a Swordmaster career lead?
- A desire to help your fellow guildies.
- Make sure to Know what the career (Swordmaster) is about.
- Be ready to pass your knowledge to newbie swordmasters.
- Make sure the number of tanks in the guild is adequate at least.
Think you are the elf for the job? Send a PM to Korta Galathil and Dagda (guild leaders).
Don't hesitate, apply now!

| | | Good luck for whoever that stands up to the task. I have not left the guild, I just am sure that I cannot be an effective leader right now. More power to those who can do better. |

| | What's the salary? Lol j/k. If you find anyone fit for the job, great! If not, I'll give it a go. But i won't stand in the way of people seeing this as their path to glory.
Edit: seems like there anaetheron is keen on the duty

| | I just joined, so I can't say that I'm considering a leadership position. Another relevant point to add is that I haven't even tried the game yet, so frankly, I don't know whether or not I'll like it.
I've been a guild leader once before, and a recruitment officer for many years in Anarchy Online.
As I've understood it, the Swordmaster Lead is the go-to guy for information and knowledge about the Swordmaster class specificly. He also handles the organization of the guild members playing that class.
If we do grow larger; having both recruitment officers and training officers could help offload some of the responsibilities of the Swordmaster Lead role. Being a training officer doesn't mean that you'll spend every waking moment training other players - but those roles are often manned by those who love helping and giving advice, and thus being the natural and ideal contacts for newly recruited members.
Recruitment officers are the guys who's responsibility is to ensure that quality members enter the ranks whenever the need is there. I assume we won't operate with open recruitment forever.
I'll support whichever candidate is chosen.

| | Hehe i agree with Raion there, though i think that "helpfull, friendly and willing to take care of the new recruits" should be a general mantra in the guild, not just for the officers and leads
But yeah, as i stated in Azim's thread, i would like to give the Swordmaster lead a try

| | Given the relatively large number of SM's we have I have no doubt that some good candidates will step forward. Good luck to those that apply!

| | Until you get a new leader I am willing to take any questions about being a SM. Don't hesitate to ask as I will answer to the best of my ability.
