Inactive Member and Position Openings

I have gone through and moved our inactive members, both US and EU to the Inactive Member usergroup. This included 2 EU Staff members that have not been active since around May.

Current numbers are:
US Active Membership: 47 Active Members & 7 Staff
EU Active Membership: 25 Active Members & 5 Staff

With this activity sweep the EU side has lost 2 Staff members and one has voiced his wish to step down. So the EU side needs to attempt to fill these slots if possible.

EU Openings:
Viceroy (Assistant Guild Leader)
Archmage Lead
White Lion Lead

Here is how I want to do this. If you are interested in the job PM me and let me know that you are interested and how you want to work the position you are putting in for.

I will take this information and give it to the EU and US staff to look over, from there we will slim down the list to 3 or 4 names if needed, and probobly do some informal interviews.

From there we will post a poll on the forums for those within the team they are wanting to lead with a time limit for the vote. Yes, I can see who voted for what, so we can take out the votes from people that should not have voted.

why dont we wait for the list of people to be anounced before aclaiming. It could be that he doesn't want a command role, and is happy being a helper, we wont know until the list comes out.

You're quite right of course Berethas, but in my mind Kier just popped up automatically. He's been instrumental in getting the Beta Guild to where we are now, he's one of the most active and on top of that friendly, helpful and organised.

Of course, no hard feelings if he doesn't want to be in a leader position (I've done my duties and I just want to be a member these days, so I would understand), and undoubtedly there may be other excellent candidates, but he just stood out in my eyes.

But yes, I'll refrain from making nominations as each need to decide for their own if they want to apply for a position and the leaders will then make a decision in their infinite wisdom. Good luck to all!

I am very flattered that people are nominating me, but aside from the fact that Dagda already promoted me to staff less than a week ago ( thus far my ninja admin actions have gone unremarked ) I simply don't know what a Viceroy does relative to an Ambassador.

I think Korta already knows that I'll temp his duties in a pinch, and I have had a lot of fun dabbling in Swedish and establishing a rapport with Mr. Magnus over our beta project.

In fact ; I have already revised my character bio and playstyle - sword & board all the way now - to be the best Ambassador I can be.
There shall be a special notepad too - oh yes, a special notepad there shall be.
It would take quite some doing to pry me away from my current ( and first ever ) guild position.

It is very nice to see so many stand behind someone so quickly. It looks as if the staff did very well deciding on appointing Kier to the staff. Kier was bit of a ninja appointment as we were so heavy in the beta.

Kier is indeed worthy of all this praise, especially his excellent handling of the Guild beta application.
Now regarding the missing officers in the Euro guild. I know that Nuada Amandil had been missing for 3½ months, but I am quite surprised that Olin Sagaris (WL lead) has been inactive even longer. This is makes us three officers short, that is unaccepteble this close to release.

We need the AM and WL seats filled out, and we need a vice-roy. This must be resolved within a weeks time from now. Everyone (myself included) think that Kier can fill out the post as vice-roy, but that would leave us an ambassedor short. Kier has done a great job of keeping in touch with the other guilds who wish to be a part of the Conclave of Light. In fact along with Korta Kier will be Mr. Tor Anroc, and since our guild is the center of the Euro CoL, they will both be Mr. Conclave as well. On Korta's off-line days Kier could wind up running the whole guild and the whole alliance, I don't know about Kier, but I wouldn't want that job. This is a game after all. Kier's position exists to make Korta's duties easier.
Thats where the Vice-roy steps in, to handle internal issues in the guild. Both the Ambassedor and the vice-roy have equal standing after the guild leader, one is public relations, the other the proxy of the guild leader.
I would like to apply for the position as the Vice-roy of the Old World chapter, if someone more fitting is chosen instead, I'll gladly fill out the position of white lion career lead. The gods know we need both.

i would be more than happy to see Kier and Ferriun settle on some of the open positions
both did/does amazing work within the guild and outside it as well
