Stepping down.

Hello all.
For a year now (give or take), I have had the officer post as the Euro chapters archmage career lead. Well no more, and this is my reasons for stepping down from this position.
When the archmage was presented by the Hickman and Paul at Leipzig last year, I thought "awesome, a nuker/de-buffer/healer... of DOOM. Who gets to kick ass with a staff too? I MUST play this perfect career".
A year later I play a rank 31 archmage in the beta, and despite the wide selection of powers I see nothing that resembles the awesome of the Leipzig presentaion. I am quite dissapointed with this and switch over to a White Lion, who despite having an unfinished and bugged pet AI is actually more rewarding to play for me. Since I want to play the White Lion career, I cannot hold the position as archmage lead anymore. Thats it.
So who wants my old job?

But in all seriousness, I'm sorry that the Archmage turned out to not be the way you expected. As someone planning to play an archmage come open-beta, I'm quite disheartened after hearing all the bad reviews. Either way, I am glad that you've found a class that does suit your playing style! On the one hand : The Archmage is surely in line for some serious attention before release, so it might play quite differently by then.

On the other hand : I enjoy playing any Tank in WAR 10 times as much as I enjoy other careers, so if your gut tells you that White Lion is the class for you then no tweaks are likely to change that.

Why thank you both . I don't intend to roleplay a Chracian white lion, but a warrior of Tor Anroc who can summon an ancestral spirit of battle to his side when he enters mortal kombat. Well something like that.

I'm still sticking with the AM. It's not totally what I expected, and I had to adopt my playing style (more sticking back, less nuking) but I still enjoy it.

However, I'm probably not the best person to be the AM lead for the EU... I won't be able to commit as much as time as many of you may, so I'd like to rule myself out of the running...

I'm still firmly commited to playing an Archmage, but all credit to you for realising the class is not for you and letting everyone know ahead of time.

Just know that this Archmage will have your White Lion's back at all times!
